Prescribed Burning

It has been proven that burning under story in an old forest or burning prior to planting can have tremendous positive effects on the forest. Burning in old growth forests can open the under story making it more desirable for some wildlife and increase aesthetics. Burning before planting can sanitize the land reducing disease and unwanted insects as well as reducing competitive growth to the desired species.
