Pine Thinning
Pine plantation thinnings are a common practice during the crop rotation period. Typicaly thinnings will take place in one to two stages through the crop rotation period.
Landowners benefit from thinnings by creating income. Also, increasing the health of the trees which in turn reduces tree stress and a stagnant stand and chances of Southern Pine Beetle insect infestation and disease.
